Binic Town Centre Masterplan

The Team was commissioned to create a regeneration masterplan for a strategic town centre site in the seaside town of Binic, Brittany. The team’s overall objective was to create a sustainable development scheme, to expand and animate the town centre by providing new housing, shops and services. The first phase included the analysis of the site in the wider urban context and the identification of the main opportunities for development. In a second phase, the team in collaboration with French specialists in transport and cost management tested three possible scenarios for the development and enhancement of public spaces. In the final phase, the prefered scenario was finely detailed. The project concluded with a phase of colloboration and advice to the local authority on the planning and delivery process.
