A masterplan inspired by the ‘Garden City’ movement

The Team were appointed to develop a concept masterplan for the town of Nian San Li, adjacent to Yiwu City in Zhejiang province, China. The evolution of the design has been guided by new thinking in urbanism which recognises the values of the ‘Garden City’ movement, a key phase in the development of cities in the UK. Phased implementation of the strategy is now underway.
